Dubai Cares Launches “Gaza In Our Hearts” Ramadan Campaign

Dubai Cares, in collaboration with Anera, has launched the “Gaza In Our Hearts” Ramadan campaign, aimed at providing emergency relief aid to children and families in Gaza. This initiative underscores Dubai Cares’ commitment to supporting communities in need, particularly during challenging times.

The campaign seeks to raise funds for essential supplies such as hot meals, food baskets, and emergency shelter tents, recognizing the urgent need for assistance in Gaza. Through strategic partnerships with organizations like Anera, Dubai Cares aims to ensure the efficient delivery of aid to those affected by the conflict in Gaza.

His Excellency Dr. Tariq Al Gurg, Chief Executive Officer and Vice-Chairman of Dubai Cares, emphasized the significance of the campaign, stating, “With the conflict in Gaza continuing for six months, access to food and shelter has become critically low, leading to severe food insecurity. Through the ‘Gaza In Our Hearts’ campaign, we aim to unite the community in providing urgent aid and support to those in need.”

To contribute to the campaign, individuals can donate via SMS, make online donations, launch their own crowdfunding campaigns, or make direct financial donations. These contributions will help alleviate the suffering of those affected by the conflict in Gaza and support their recovery and reconstruction efforts.

Dubai Cares and Anera have been working tirelessly to provide humanitarian assistance and sustainable development to vulnerable communities in Palestine, Lebanon, and Jordan. Through their efforts, millions of meals, medical treatments, hygiene kits, and other essential supplies have been delivered to the population of Gaza, demonstrating their commitment to making a positive impact in the region.

Dubai Cares:

Through the design and funding of impactful, sustainable, and scalable programs, Dubai Cares has reached over 24 million beneficiaries in 60 developing countries.

Dubai Cares plays a crucial role in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, which aims to ensure inclusive and quality education for all by 2030. The organization supports programs in early childhood development, access to quality primary and secondary education, technical and vocational education and training for youth, and focuses on education in emergencies and protracted crises. Dubai Cares also adopts a strategic approach to improve student enrollment and learning outcomes through its integrated school health and nutrition model, which includes school-based deworming activities, school feeding programs, and promoting Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) in schools.

As a civil society organization formally associated with the United Nations Department of Global Communications, Dubai Cares is also a registered non-governmental organization under IACAD, the charitable activities regulator in Dubai. This allows Dubai Cares to raise funds through direct donations and fundraising campaigns, and to process all permit approvals with IACAD.
