ZENITH continues its remarkable return to pure chronometry with the unveiling of the new G.F.J. Bloodstone Edition—a refined limited edition that celebrates one of the most awarded movements in Swiss watchmaking history.
Following the success of the revived Calibre 135, which earned the prestigious Chronometry Prize at the 2025 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, the G.F.J. collection returns in a striking 39.5mm yellow gold execution limited to just 161 pieces worldwide.
At the heart of the watch lies the legendary Calibre 135, a movement originally developed for observatory chronometry competitions between 1949 and 1962. Revered among collectors, the competition-spec 135-O achieved a historic 235 chronometry prizes, including five consecutive first-place victories at the Neuchâtel Observatory—an achievement that remains unmatched in the luxury watch industry.
Rather than reproducing the past, ZENITH has modernized the calibre for contemporary collectors while preserving its iconic architecture, oversized balance wheel, and precision-focused engineering. The hand-wound movement now delivers a 72-hour power reserve and COSC-certified accuracy of +/- two seconds per day.
The standout feature, however, is the dial. Crafted from natural bloodstone, each piece reveals unique mineral patterns, complemented by a mother-of-pearl seconds counter and guilloché detailing inspired by the historic ZENITH Manufacture in Le Locle.
